Antique World War One - Austria-Hungarian Black & White Portrait

World War I Oval Framed Photo of a Chaplain soldier (cca 1914-1916).  Purchased in a larger lot of antiques from Amsterdam, this portrait is unframed, and appears to have originated as a black and white photo and was touched up in graphite pencil. The image size is cropped by an oval mat, but is approximately 14.5" wide X 18" high. Some fading and water damage are apparent in the matting, and the back side has torn cardboard with some fragments of newspaper clippings still evident. Overall the image is outstanding and intact, highly visible and a great period statement piece that is over 100 years old. Unframed Dimensions: 21.25" wide X 26.75" tall or high.
